Drawing on animism and cultural beliefs I grew up with, the series explores what resides once everyday noise recedes into the background – moments and reveries in the cycle of becoming and unbecoming.

It is influenced by a political othering – which resulted in my culturally disjointed upbringing and ever changing sense of self – and the fluidity of belonging in contrast to the rigid antecedent narrative.

It plays with the continual reconfiguration as we try to make sense of those that don’t; and embraces the emanating play of chaos and order.
