Jo Wood: Bio
Jo Wood has been hand-building with porcelain for a number of years. Early in her career, in 2005, she won the Josephine Ulrick Ceramics Art Award for Excellent at the Gold Coast International Ceramic Awards. There followed a number of years where her method of hand-pleating clay and forming translucent lamps gained much attention. She is now working with Keraflex – a flexible porcelain tape-inserted into hand-built porcelain vessels. Once again, she is maximizing the fascinating translucent nature of porcelain.
