Annette Bukovinsky, one of Stanley Street Gallery's represented artists, has received the Loloma Jewellers Award, in memory of Betty Jackson (Acquisitive) as part of The biennial North Queensland Ceramic Awards for her ceramic sculpture, Fall (2020).
Annette Bukovinsky is an artist based in Sydney, Australia. Her practice explores the intricacies of humanity’s relationship with nature with the aim of searching for a new ecological philosophy that can address the challenges threatening the vitality of our planet.
The biennial North Queensland Ceramic Awards has long aimed to increase public exposure to a high standard of pottery from around the nation. A showcase for both well-known and emerging artists, this competition displays the diversity of ceramic art currently being produced in Australia.
Selected works will be on display at Perc Tucker Regional Gallery from 31 July - 20 September 2020.
