“Through Óscarmartín de Burgos, whispers of spirit find form. Each sculpture begins as an intuition, a subtle guide beyond words, and takes shape in matter. He is not the origin, but the vessel — the passage where the invisible becomes visible, where silence turns into presence.”
Oscarmartín De Burgos is a distinguished Spanish sculptor and mystic whose practice seeks to bridge the temporal and the eternal—unifying past, present, and future expressions of spirituality. Rooted in the symbolic language of prehistory, his work channels ancestral cultures through a profound psychic empathy, reawakening ancient memory within a contemporary context. By employing a wide range of materials—bronze, brass, aluminium, polymers, and ceramics—he creates works that transcend the linearity of history, engaging viewers in a universal dialogue that is both timeless and accessible.
He studied Sculpture and Environmental Design at the School of Art and Design in Alicante, Spain, and pursued further training in Urban, Environmental, and Landscape Design. Over the course of his career, he has received numerous grants and awards in Spain and France in recognition of his artistic contribution. His works are held in major public and private collections internationally, and he has been commissioned to create monumental sculptures for significant institutions and civic projects. These include Cid Campeador on the A-1 Highway, commissioned by the Ministry of Public Works of the Spanish Government; Neolito at the University Hospital of Burgos (HUBU); and Seed, a monumental high-relief mural for the 13th-century Franciscan Monastery, commissioned by the Cáritas Foundation of Spain.
In addition to these landmark projects, Martín De Burgos has been entrusted with creating iconic sculptural works for international corporations and cultural institutions. Among these are the Grupo Antolín Ciudad de Burgos Awards, the FAE de Oro Business Awards, and the official 3D image for the XVII Congress of the International Union of Prehistoric and Protohistoric Sciences.
Through his oeuvre, Martín De Burgos affirms sculpture as both a spiritual and cultural vessel—one that binds humanity across epochs and geographies, while opening pathways toward collective memory and transcendence.

Oscar Martín de Burgos, The Sunward Taurus, 2022/2025, Edition 1/8, Brass, 59 x 56 x 40 cm, Image Mariano Villaescusa
"To make solid, inert, hard, rigid material convey meaning and become capable of expressing the treasure of human spiritual wealth demands knowledge and understanding. The artist’s deep consciousness of the fact that his chosen method of rendering the conception of the human being and human thought also expresses his own attitude and his personal and social position toward life. Oscar does not reproduce forms encountered in reality, but by interpreting them invests these forms with the power to excite emotion and instruct."
