In this exhibition titled "Wabi-Sabi" Collins has been inspired by the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi a Japanese concept which explores beauty and the impermanence of life. Characteristics of the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic include irregularity, simplicity, modesty and an appreciation for the integrity of natural objects and processes.The artist has experimented with ceramics, glaze-combinations and sterling silver to create unique jewellery pieces that celebrate intuition and imperfection.
