Tracy Lymn: Artist Statement & Bio

Tracy Lymn was born in South Australia. She studied a Diploma of Education in Fine Arts at Underdale CAE then moved to Marleston TAFE to study a Diploma of Advanced Fashion Design. Her career in fashion spanned over 25 years. During this time she also freelanced as a graphic designer for South Australian independent record labels and bands as well as designing logos for businesses. Pursuit of work in fashion took her interstate for over fifteen years. On her return to Adelaide Tracy began study for a Bachelor of Visual Art and Design at AC Arts, Light Square, Adelaide. She majored in photography, specialising in still life and portrait work using large format film. She feels her work is darkly humorous with undercurrent social and political themes.
